For those of you who are trying to revise your compensatory education counts given that the October snapshot date is right around the corner, you should know that TEA has posted an updated census tool here. Apparently, the old tool was revised because if a student address was blank using that tool, then the census information was populating with the information of the student in the row above. The new tool should solve that problem. Thanks to our friends at Forecast5 for catching this for us! Remember that it is not the census block group number that will determine your funding. To determine funding, you will need to compare the geoid that is produced by the TEA census tool to the spreadsheet linked at the bottom of this letter to find out what weight any particular student draws down.
